Ahmet Furkan Aydogan.

I study how digital systems can be investigated, secured, and trusted. My research spans digital forensics, IoT and embedded systems security, maritime cybersecurity, and the security of AI coding agents. I also explore brain-signal-based encryption and the responsible use of AI in education.

I earned my Ph.D. in Digital and Cyber Forensics Science from Sam Houston State University. At UNCW, I teach cybersecurity, digital forensics, and computer networking through hands-on labs that connect technical concepts with evidence and practical investigation. I contribute to IEEE standards working groups on secure learning systems and responsible AI, and have presented my work at DEF CON.
